Crispy Chettinad Fish Fry: Easy 15-Minute Fish Recipe

If fish is your kind of meat and you like your food with a serious kick, this Chettinad Fish Fry deserves a spot on your Sunday menu.

It is spicy, packed with flavour and has that golden, crispy coating that makes it very difficult to stop at just one piece. And the best part? You only need a handful of ingredients and about 15 minutes to get there.

How to make Chettinad Fish Fry

Step 1: Prep the fish

Clean and pat your fish steaks dry. You want them ready to soak up all that masala.

Step 2: Coat with Chettinad masala

Add CURRYiT Chettinad Chicken Curry Paste to the fish and coat each piece properly. Every bit should have a good layer of masala.

Step 3: Heat the pan

Brush a little ghee or oil onto a pan and let it get hot.

Step 4: Fry the fish

Place the marinated fish carefully on the pan and let it cook undisturbed.

That sizzle? Exactly what you want to hear.

Step 5: Flip and crisp

Once the underside is golden and crisp, flip the fish and cook the other side.

No constant poking. No flipping it five times. Let the pan do its job.

Step 6: Serve

Once both sides have that beautiful golden crust, take it off the heat and serve hot.

Crispy on the outside, spicy and flavourful inside. This is the kind of fish fry that can turn a regular Sunday lunch into the main event.

And yes, cancelling your plans for this was the right decision.
